Dear Brothers and sisters of the world
The International Sahaja Yoga Research & Health Centre (Vashi hospital) celebrated its 10th Anniversary (19th February 2006). Exactly a decade back on the auspicious day of 19th of February 1996 our Beloved Mother H.H.Shri Mataji blessed and inaugurated this Research project as a Gift to the Humanity. Although localition of this Centre is CBD, Belapur, Navi Mumbai but it popularly came to be known as “Vashi Hospital” by the yogis and yoginis worldwide.
The entire campus of this Health centre was beautifully decorated with garlands of exquisite fragrant and colorful flowers. The decoration was further accentuated with the eye-catching illuminating tiny electrical wonders displaying long strings of lighted garlands and designs of stars. Traditional ‘Rangolis’ (Indian artistic designs decorated on the floor with coloured powders to welcome the Goddess) covered the entire centre.
The day's programme included a rare treat of divine music performance by Pt. (Dr.) Arun Apte and Smt. Surekha Apte and Pt. Subramaniam. The evening was marked by offering Nirakar Puja at the Holy Lotus Feet of Shri Mataji in Her Shri Adi-Shakti form. Among the invitees were the members of the Trustees of the Health Centre, dedicated workers of the early years, whose contributions helped the centre to come up to the present shape along with Mr.Golab, Mr. Hari Jalan and Dr.Hule. A few of the special invitees included Mr.Parag Raje, Mr.G.L.Aggarwal and Mr.R.K Pugalia besides, a collectivity of another 300-400 yogis were invited to share the moments of joy of that evening.
Soon after lunch that day, Pt. (Dr.).Arun Apte and Smt. Surekha Apte started their much awaited performance. The collectivity was privileged to enjoy some of the popular songs and ragas from their repertoire. Amongst them were the full ‘Devi Stuti’ (Ya Devi sarva bhuteshu…….Namastasye, Namastasye Namastasye namo namaha ,) ‘Darshana Deydo Shankara’ and the spell bounding ‘Uma Shankara’.
Meanwhile like applying the icing on the cake, the last finishing touches were being done on the stage to decorate it. A large fabric tapestry was displayed on a big theatre screen: it represented the International Sahaja Yoga Research and Health Centre surrounded by Deities, Shri Shiva and Parvati on its roof, Shri Ganesha dancing nearby, Shri Vishnu flying over it on Shri Garuda…and Shri Mataji in the fore front looking aside at the stone written “A Gift of Love to Humanity” which stands in the entry hall.
Later, in the evening at 6:00 pm the programme started with an introductory speech delivered by Dr.Sandeep Rai, amidst a collectivity of approximately 400 yogis in the back drop of a big screen, where the altar had also been placed. Dr. Rai went down the memory lane of the last decade since the Centre was blessed by Her Holy Lotus Feet in 1996. The speech was very inspiring with punches of subtle touch of humour as he narrated the ups and downs of this Health Centre, since its inception from conceiving this as a mere project to its rising up to this day. It was Shri Mataji Herself Who desired a Centre to be gifted to the humanity, where people would be cured using only Sahaja Yoga techniques.
Later, Dr. Sandeep Rai requested some of the key workers of this phase of the past decade to grace the evening with a few words. Mr.Hari Jalan and Dr.Hule both spoke and shared a lot of their memories. Quoting Shri Mataji one of them said, “I did nothing, Shri Mataji did everything, but as Shri Mataji says, “someone has to go and stand there”, so I just came and stood!”. Concluding the address to the collectivity, Dr Sandeep Rai thanked his mother Mrs. Lily Rai who had been the ever loving Grihalakshmi and had been taking care of all those coming to the Health Centre since last 10 years.
Just before the Puja, there was yet another exciting event that took place. The collectivity was privileged to witness the event of the historical moment of the inauguration Ceremony of 19th February 1996 through screening of a rare video of that day. The inauguration ceremony was followed by Mother’s speech in Marathi, in which Mother explained that how this place became the most conducive and appropriate for building up such a Centre. She also explained that how subtly a left Vishuddhi catch could be worked out using a candle.
The Nirakar Puja at Her Holy Lotus Feet started at about 6.30 pm; a huge collectivity of Sahaja doctors were seen along with Dr.Sandeep Rai and Dr. Madhur Rai, Director of the Research and Health Centre offering the nirakar puja. The Puja started with bhajans led by the Bombay Sahaj band with Binati Suniye, Aigiri Nandini, Tujhya Pujani, and many others. The Puja was first offered at Her Holy Lotus Feet to worship Shri Ganesha, later the main Puja was offered to Shri Mataji in Her Shri Adi Shakti Form. The Puja marked the expression of our heartfelt thankfulness on behalf of the entire World collectivity at the Holy Lotus Feet of Shri Mataji, for this wonderful and Unique Heath Centre , that She has bestowed upon us as a gift to humanity. The Puja continued for an hour and half, with the offerings of water, Charanamrut, and lots of varieties of flowers to Shri Mataji’s Holy Lotus Feet.
Later a huge Cake was offered to Mother in Her Nirakar form on behalf of the grateful patients who received magical healing through Mother’s Love in Sahaja – and a present was also offered for the Health Centre to Mrs.Madhur Rai.
